It’s time to crack out the fancy dress and scoff everything pumpkin spice flavour because Halloween is fast approaching

Yes the 31st October – a Thursday this year – is the big day but you don’t need to wait until then to open the fake blood and pop on your skeleton outfit because there are a ton of terrifying Halloween events in London throughout October. From partying amongst skeletons in a museum to spine-tingling Jack the Ripper tours, here’s how to make your Halloween in London spook-tacular rather than a total nightmare.


Hocus Pocus in Concert

If rewatching classic movies is on your agenda this Halloween, then this is one screening you won’t wanna miss. Hocus Pocus, the 1993 film starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as the Sanderson Sisters, witches who are brought back to life on Halloween night and who try to steal the life essence from the town’s children so they can live forever, is being shown with John Debney’s score being performed live.

Jack the Ripper Tour at Discount Suit Company

Cocktail bar Discount Suit Company have teamed up with The Jack Ripper Tour to bring a one-off walk for Halloween. Starting at DSC, you’ll get some hot punch before heading off on a spine-tingling tour of Whitechapel and Spitalfields, the infamous stalking grounds of Jack the Ripper. The tour will end back at DSC where guests who’ve booked a table will get an exclusive 20% discount off their entire bill – so there’ll be no scares there.

Ghost Huns Live at Bush Hall

Hannah Byczkowski (Winner of BBC One’s The Traitors) and Suzie Preece (Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year finalist) are hosting a live recording of their Ghost Huns podcast at Bush Hall on Halloween. As well as talking about all things supernatural and telling ghost stories, the pair will attempt to contact the dead using a ouija board, so expect plenty of screams and plenty of laughter.

Elrow x Boomtown’s Halloween Carnival at Drumsheds

Elrow and Boomtown, two crews who are known for their big, immersive productions, are teaming up for a massive Halloween carnival weekender at Drumsheds. Each of the superclub’s three rooms will be totally transformed into a grotesque funhouse, a high-tech dystopia and a forsaken forest, with the likes of Eats Everything, Sidney Charles, Claptone, Hannah Laing, Alan Fitzpatrick, Arielle Free, Zed Bias, 4am Kru and more all taking to the decks.

Halloween at the Museum

Spend a spooky night amongst all the skeletons at the Natural History Museum this Halloween. Dig out your best fancy dress and head inside the museum after-hours to explore the strangest specimens on display, take a behind-the-scenes tour of the collections in the Tank Room, and dance at a silent disco with the dinosaurs.

Seven Dials Market is getting a Halloween makeover, with spooky decs getting strung up and lots of tricks and treats courtesy of the resident traders. There’ll be brews from Meantime and a mammoth 16 seasonal specials on offer, including a elote mix, corn and Tajin Day of the Dead pizza from Bad Boy Pizza Society; a Triple Pickle hash brown loaded with scotch bonnet, pickle ketchup, pickled onion and Monster Munch from Hash Hut; the Flippin Nightmare burger, made with a charcoal bun, beef patty, black pudding, Monterey Jack cheese and ghost sauce, from Mother Flipper; and a Pumpkin Puff Puff Fritter with spiced caramel sauce from Jollof Mama.

Hallowed Peak: The Lunar Festival

Phantom Peak, the 30,000 sq ft steampunk town, is back with a Hallowed Peak immersive experience for 2024. Spirits are beginning to rise during the lunar festival causing ghouls and spectres to take over the town. There’ll also be new trails to explore, a spooky séance where you can commune with the dead in an abandoned lab, and plenty of Halloween-themed food and drink to enjoy along your adventure.

Big Penny Social’s Warehouse of Horrors

Halloween is lasting a whole week at Walthamstow beer hall Big Penny Social. As well as a big Warehouse of Horrors party on Sat 26th October, featuring circus performers, spooky games, live music from DUKE and DJs spinning until 2am, there’ll also be pumpkin carving, a Halloween pub quiz, a 50-piece orchestral Halloween performance, and a Halloween roller disco to come back for.
